April Show n Tell.

 Well we missed out on March and our members have been busy over the last 2 months.

 

This is by Annette Bourne and was part of the half square triangle quilt challenge that Maureen organized for our members.  She has called it "Flight Sargent Stripes"

Another challenge quilt. This is by Veronica., very colourful.

This is called " Fabulous Feathers"  and is by Veronica.  It is a pattern by Jenny Hunter which was bought from her shop in Levin, Plume Art.

Carol Burgess has made another bag, this one is called Sunshine Crossbody .Carol has joined Sewing Bags NZ group and they were doing a swap so she joined in.

This sweet quilt is by Bep and is for Ava Elizabeth her first Great Granddaughter who is due very soon.

Diana Jones's quilt challenge.

This wall-hanging belongs to Maria and she won it at the Taumarunui Quilt Show she attended recently and she is giving it to her Grandson.


Madeline McCrea made this wall-hanging for her son in law'


Another by Madeline, called "Houses" and is a gift for her Brother in Law.

This was made during the "Lock down" by Madeline and is a pin wheel pattern.

This is another club challenge quilt and Madeline has added circles and sashings.


Helen Pedersen is the maker of this quilt and is called "A Modern Triangulation" and it is from a picture Helen saw on Pinerest.


This is a Bonnie Hunter 2019 Mystery Quilt, by Frances Henderson,


and this is the back, Frances decided to double - side the quilt, with the half square triangles, so she only had to quilt it once......


A lovely wall hanging. by Heather, called Animal Stackers and she liked  the pattern as well as the fact you could use the individual animal patterns.


This is Heather's 9 patch challenge quilt which she had help with putting together and quilted by Helen Pedersen.

This is by Maureen Little and is her version of the half square triangle swap 2020 for the club. Wonderful. 


This is the back of Donna's quilt.


And this is the front, it is going to be the quilt for her "Grandies" to use at her home and was part of the club half square triangle challenge.



Another challenge quilt, this is by Lesley McFarlane, not quite finished but i am sure we will see it soon all finished....



A baby quilt, made by Donna and is a cot quilt for her hair dresser's first Great Granddaughter.

February 2021 Show an Tell

 

This is a table runner, made by Sue Elliot, for her daughter who likes succulents.

A Japanese Wall- Hanging by Pauline Walton.  Was made at the Wiritoa retreat and finished at the Koutiata Retreat.

Kowhai and Pohutukawa wall hangings which was finished at retreat by Veronica.

By Diana Jones and is called "My Snowman I Love".

Another by Diana and is a nine patch which she has hand quilted.

Project bags, by Carol Burgess, just because she wanted to try something different.

An Expedition Travel Tote, by Swoon Sewing Pattern.  It was made by Carol Burgess. Her comment was "Do i need a reason to make another bag"? No you do not Carol....



Rosie made a bag to store her Sue Spargo threads and project.

2019 Mystery quilt by Bonnie Hunter. Made by Frances and is the 4th Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilts she has made  It keeps her busy during Nov. Dec. and January.

Southern star by Annette. A BOM fromAimees homestead done in Christmas colors. She had enough after 5 blocks so added boarders to make it a throw quilt for Christmas



Stuarts quilt by Annette another BOM from Aimees homestead. Black/white/bright changed for mottled brown. Made some extra blocks to increase size.Custom quilted by Lesley Ororke of Quarryburn Quilting Napier



As yet un named by Annette,quilted by Lesley Ororke Napier. Several left over blocks,chose sanother color,set new blockes and finished with a complimentary sashing. Her sister said "Its very bright"
