June Show and Tell

First up was a colourful Table runner by Doreen Kendrick.

 
 
Pat Saunders showed us her Scrap Quilt, a great way to use scraps up.
 
 
 
This one is called Disappearing Nine Patch made from a 4 inch wide fabric pack.  This belongs to Barbara Clarke.
 
 
 
Jenny Rattenbury and her Husband Rob have just celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversay (Congratulations) and she made this wall hanging for him.
 
 
 
This next quilt by Jenny Worsley has been named "Judy Potts Quilt". We both discovered that we were doing the same quilt but Jenny was only going to do 12 stitchery blocks instead of 24 but I kept encouraging her to continue and now she is pleased she did.

Jenny has been busy, she started this one about 3 or 4 years ago and has just had it quilted.

Audrey Tizard made this cot quilt for her Grandson

May Show and Tell

Black & White & Red quilt  made by Lidy for her daughter who lives in a cold student flat. She made it from a photo. Well done.

Veronica D. made this from a child's duvet for the Happy Day Care centre.


These 2 blocks are also by Veronica and are going to be part of a Cancer Society Quilt to be raffled. She asked if anyone has daffodil material that they would like to donate, to be included in a 9 patch, please let her know.


Audrey T. with her completed Kaffe Fassett Quilt, made with Kaffe Fassett material.  She attended a work shop with Kaffe Fassett in Taupo.


This is another one completed by Audrey. A jelly roll quilt, very colourful.


A cot quilt by Donna B. It is a gift for a friend and was made from "The Cat in the Hat" Panel with an added stripe boarder.


Keitha R. made this table runner to be given to a friend overseas.  She rearranged the pattern to suit as it was incorrect in the book!

show and tell April

Hi everyone, this is Judy Potts attempting to make my very first blog post.
Here is the Show n Tell from the April Meeting.

 Rosie G makes cool quilts from the Canteen bandanas and is looking out for more. If anyone has some to donate Rosie would be very grateful. She gives the quilts back to Canteen. Here are two of her recent finishes

 This is Ruth's Carrie Hall Sampler finished top. It is completely hand pieced and she is going to hand quilt it in her floor frame. You are a star, Ruth!
