Show n Tell May 2015

First up for the show n tell were the sample strips members made at a Anna Williams Class, held recently.  It is a Celtic pattern.

 

Carol's Niece made this quilt top with expert guidance from Carol. 

 

Maureen L. found this woollen quilt in an op shop and just had to buy it.  It was priced at $4.00.

I am sure it has found a happy home.

 

This is Betty's latest wall-hanging.  Lovely stitching on felt and her own design.

 

Bernice  has completed the mystery quilt our club ran last year and had Donna & Helen quilt it for her, wasn't she lucky!

 

Bernice also finished this quilt she has had for some time.  It is a Round Robin Quilt and Helen quilted it for her.

 

Isn't the quilting awesome?

 

This lovely bright quilt was made by Doreen and she worked the pattern out herself from a picture.

 

Bep has finished another symposium article, this time a table runner made in a Donna Ward class.

 

Another by Bep this time it is a rainbow quilt made in a class run by Sarah Feilke.

 

 

This wall hanging is by Lidy. People were asked to submit a work of art to represent Remembrance of Stories about what happened at Pakaitore (Moutua Gardens) in 1995

 



 

Rosie N. has gone into production again and these two quilts are for identical twin boys.  She had done the binding in different colours so they will know whose is whose!

Judy P. has made this "Boys Story" by Annie Downs cot quilt, for her Grandson arriving in July.

Dianna has completed this table runner, lovely bright poppies.

 



Donna has made this very large bed quilt  for her son and daughter in law, 1 year, 2 mths and 1 day after the wedding.

 

This is a quilt as you go quilt by Kim, it is for her bed.  Beautiful colours.

 

Leslie has made a few more runners for the Cancer Ward in Palmerston North, it is our club project.

Colleen has made this felt stitched table mat, it is stunning.

 

Lidy had to make a postcard in 1in squares and after perfecting the technique of getting all the squares to match she made a pot holder.

and a small place mat. they are ironed onto iron on interfacing and then sewed down.   Perfect every time!!
