Here are a selection of blocks from a mystery quilt some of our members have completed. They have been organised through Amiee's Homestead in Palmerston North.
This is Noah's Ark Panel and has been turned into a community quilt by Donna B.
Frances H. has completed this car hanger for her Grand-daughters to store their "stuff" in the back seat of her car. A brilliant idea.
Another bag, this one has been made by Veronica D. She has called it her Hedgehog Bag and it is nice and roomy inside.
This quilt is called "Celestial Craze"and is by Hester. It was inspired by her Son's talents and then commitment to the Hare Krichna movement.
"Ruth's Quilt" pattern source is Leanne Beasley and was made by Sue F. The fabric was sourced from her stash and the stitcheries gave her something to do over the winter months.
A close up of the stitchery.
Veronica D. had celebrated a "O" birthday recently and the cake was made by her Sister In Law. All edible and a real work of art.
This zip up box was made by Carol B. who saw the pattern on line and it intrigued her. She found it fun to make and is going to use it herself.
A lovely pair of knitted socks by Rosie B. Jenny W bought the wool & needles to make them herself but she only knitted 4 rows before she "threw them out of the cot" and told Rosie she could have them. Rosie completed them and gave them back.
