Cotton on Quilters Christmas Meeting 2014

 
 


We had a very good turn our for our last meeting of the year.



A lovely spread for our lunch.
Our wonderful committee provided home made pavlovas and strawberries.
Maureen, once again, had beautiful Christmas hampers for our raffle.
We were told to bring along a hand made Christmas item for a display

We had a wonderful collection on display.



 
 
We voted for viewers choice  and 3rd was Jo 's 3 wise men and 2nd was Maureen's Santa Claus.
 
 
first choice went to Tracey with this beautiful Christmas Wall Hanging.
 
 
A Christmas meeting would not be complete without a few refreshments.
 
 
Show n tell was next and this is a charity quilt made by Rosalie.

We had a few visitors at our meeting and Elizabeth brought along a few quilts to show.  This is a hexagon quilt stitched all by hand.


She also had this lovely hand embroidered quilts.
 
A lovely bright orange and pink butterflies quilt.
 
 The things you do for your Grandaughter! Frances made this "Astrid" skirt from ties.
 
 
Carol showed this 9 square block made from Hawaiin Material.

 
 Andrea started this colourful quilt 10 years ago!
 
 

 
A wall hanging by Jo. It is for her Mother.

 
This is by Barbara, it was a mystery quilt run by our club.
 
 
A lovely Owl quilt by Judy Ar.
 
 
Rosie N. made this from a kit by Grandmother's garden.
 
 
She completed this quilt top at our recent U.F.O. night.
 
 
This it to be a picnic quilt. kit was from Cushla's Quilt shop in Waihi.

 
Rosie also made this grey & pink quilt.

Audrey has made these Christmas place-mats. She has had the material for 25yrs!
