April Show n tell

Here are a wonderful collection of Baby Quilts for our local hospital made by Trish Souness.  This is her favourite project and it uses up her stash.

Maia Rose's Quilt, made by Frances for her 1st Great Grand daughter.  She was born 01.12.2023

And the back is super as well.

A very colourful  bag by Gail Jory, it is made up of prairie points from a jelly roll.

These words are by Sue Elliot and are from Kirsty Lea Quiet Play pattern. Sue is going to put them onto canvas blocks.

Veronica made this Tiki wall hanging at Retreat.  It was one of the late Heather's patterns.

A lovely scrap baby quilt by Madeline.  Just using up scraps and it will be donated to our hospital.

And another by Madeline, it also will go to the hospital.

These are Bassinet Covers by Penny Hahon.  She was donated beautiful vintage handkerchiefs so turned them into these delightful covers. She has hand stitched them all down.

This hand stitched item is by Carol Burgess and is a Donna Heidler Pattern.  It has been on the go for awhile and Carol is going to get it framed.  It is called Cemetery Hill.

"Jelly roll Gem" by Linda Snelling Berg. A very large quilt and is for her Nephew who wanted a similar one as his Brothers.  Linda had purchased too many jelly rolls years ago but did have similar gem stones but different back grounds.  It has been quilted by Helen Pedersen.

This sweet Unicorn toy, made from felt, is by Mary Sammons.

These are a selection of bags and apples made from patterns in our newsletter.

This is a "Go Annie" pattern and was made by Rosie Neilson in Tula Pink Fabric. She made it at Retreat. Sandra helped her and it was a long slow process but she is very pleased with the result.

March Show n Tell

A bit late but here is the March blog.

Not too sure who made this lovely cot quilt.

Flamingos was made by Madeline and is a Baby quilt.

This is a Messenger Bag and was made by Diane Harries and she made it at a Fox's Cottage class.  It is collage/applique under tulle.  To the side of the bag is an apple pin cushion with a dandelion stem for the stalk.

These pages are part of a mystery quilt by Laundry Basket.  A 6 inch block, one block every week for a year. Frances is making this quilt, will be interesting to see the progress.

This neat quilt is by Donna and is called Geese in the Garden.  It was a class she attended in February at Fox's Cottage and was run by Luchelle.

This is Bobbin Lace and called Charlotte Edging by Mary Daniel, very pretty.

Lisa's Cuddle Rug and was made by Penny Mahon and quilted by Helen P. It was made for her daughter.

I do not appear to have a written label for these quilts so sorry i can not give credit to who made them but they are all lovely works of art.
