August Show n Tell 2016

Helen P made this scrappy quilt, called Crumb Block.  She had cut 4 1/2 in squares out of her scraps. Very colourful.

This is a close up of the quilting.

This colourful quilt was made by the late Kerry H and quilted by Helen.

This also is another one by Kerry which was a Mystery Quilt run by Maureen & Veronica.

Always nice to have an interesting back.

Bep has been busy recently and this is a quilt for her Grandson's 21st Birthday.

Bep also attended the Mini Symposium in Blenheim recently and attended a Jacque Karl Class.  She made the stamp for the background and painted and stitched the rest.  It is a work in progress.

Bep also attended a Michielle Armstrong class and showed us this runner made up with a block called Twist & Shout.

This African quilt is being donated to Vanuatu and was made by Maureen M.

Maureen M. also made this stunning quilt with Batiks.

Another by Maureen and is a scrappy quilt, very effective the way it has been put together.

Kath E. has made a beautiful Flower Quilt.  It is on a cream background and was quilted by another club member Joy E.

Sue E. has made this Trip around The World Quilt for her Daughter who is living in China.  Some of the "rounds" tell you what countries she has been to.

This very blue & yellow circle quilt was made by Carol B. at the recent mini Symposium.

This is called Stargello Star and was made in a Claire Valence class at the mini symposium by Carol B.  It is very effective.

These three sampler quilts have been made into cushion covers and are being taken to England by Jenny R.
They were made by her Aunt in the 1920's when she was about 11 - 12 years old.

Jenny R. has also finished her flower quilt which was started in a Greit Lombarb class our club held.

This is a dog coat made with Halloween fabric by Heather and is off to Canada for her daughter in Law's dog.
