December Show n Tell 2022

These are the Christmas Raffles for the club.  A lovely selection.

And the winners were

Bep, Jenny R, Bev, Kim T, Maria & JudyY.



The club challenge for December was to make a  pot holder and the voting was viewers choice


And the winner was #3 Lesley.

This quilt is called All In A Rush by Carol Burgess.  It is a cuddle quilt for her youngest great Nephew for Christmas

.

Around The Block, made by Carol and is a bed quilt for her oldest Great Nephew for Christmas.


Jenny Harris bought along a selection of her Christmas table runners.

Little Farm, made by Sue Elliot/Kathleen Elliot.  Sue's Mum had made the top and she quilted it to give to her niece for Mum's first Great Grandchild.

And these bags, from Tula Pink material for her girls for Christmas.

This quilt is named Alison's Snowmen and was made by Donna Bradley.
 

Flash Cat foundation pieced by Judy Potts.  The pattern is by Juliet van der Heijden, known as The Tartan Kiwi.  It is going to be made into a floor cushion for her Grandaughter.

A selection of coin purses made at the Friday Group, Carol was the tutor.


A work bag made by Maria Newell.

November Show n Tell

 

First up was a selection of bags, tutored by Carol B. called Side Saddle Pouch.

This is a Hedgehog Place mat made by Lesley McFarlane for her daughter who hates hedgehogs!!!!


Improv Blocks by Lesley and she has made them into bedside cabinet runners.  Love the colours.

This was a Daphne's Diary Challenge at Foxes Cottage and the one on the left is by Maureen and the other one is by Veronica, who actually won viewers choice for that challenge.
 

A Resene paint chip challenge at the recent symposium by Maureen.  She has called in Let Your Needle Run Free.

Rescue and Redeem, another by Maureen and was made in a symposium class with Ailee Snow.

Love this one by Maureen, called Heidi and was from a Sonya Pracal workshop.

A very impressive quilt that won Maureen a ribbon at Symposium, called Nellie Emma. Well done.


Another by Maureen called Fresh Cuts and was stitched with a group she belongs to called Woolly stitches.

This is a Christmas Table runner by Judy Young and was made from a kit purchased at Symposium.

Vanishing Nine Patch by Judy Young.  She made it very quickly using her new cutting system from Aussie Quik quilts.  Was machine quilted by Helen Pedersen.

Flower Garden by Jenny Harris and was made from a pattern by Edyta Sitar.
 

A wall hanging by Penny Gallear and was inspired by Greit Lombard with special thanks to Leslie.

Bird Panel, by Di Harries and was inspired by Jenny Worsley and an Inspirations article.

Happy Village Miniature by Di Harries and was inspired by Veronica and Penny's bag of scraps.

A William Morris Applique Miniature by Di Harries and inspired by a Michelle Hill book.
 

This lovely pincushion is by Jenny Rattenbury and is a Sue Spargo pattern she had fun making this.

Another Sue Spargo design called Homegrown by Jenny Rattenbury.  this wall hanging took her 2 years to do and she enjoyed every moment.

Carol Burgess made this Key Fob bag and was an online pattern.
 






These Blankets of Love were made for the babies in SCBU Wanganui and were made by Trish Souness and they are just something she loves to do.
 

Not the best photo I'm sorry but this large quilt is called Into the blues and is by Trish Souness and she enjoyed her time cutting out 441 five inch squares.  she had it quilted by John Nielsen.

Blossom Time by Marie Greggains and was made from fabric her daughter threw out.  It is for one of her Granddaughters.

Leaf Table Mats by Veronica.


These 2 panels, a Deer one and a Wolf one were made by Veronica for her 2 Grandsons.

October Show n Tell

 


These two cute cushions are clip holders made by Helen P and Donna as their Friday night project at retreat.

Veronica made this community quilt from Heather's fabric stash.


Donna's Grandson #5 is due 3rd October and she has completed his quilt, called Fishes.


This one is called Rhododendron and is a Bonnie Hunter mystery 21/22. It has been quilted by Helen P. and is the 3rd mystery Donna has completed.


 



"Railway blocks & flower Patch " by Lesley McFarlane and was our clubs 2021 challenge organized by Maureen. 


This is Heather McLeod's Celtic twist which Lesley has finished off. I think Heather would by pleased with it.

Rabbits, a Greit Lombard class started in 2020 and is by Lesley.



Here are another 2 community quilts, again from Heather's Stash and were made and quilted by Liz Munroe.

These Birthday Blocks were made by members of CoQ and were won by Frances H.


Another bionic bag by Sandra Ryder who wanted to try clam shell epp for an outside and she loves it

This is called Saturday "Techniques" Sampler and was made by Helen P.  They are Saturday blocks from Aimees Homestead Quilts and were meant to be used in individual projects but Helen decided to make them into a quilt, they were from about 6-7 years ago.


Carol Burgess bought this pattern on a mystery bus trip and is a Stash & Dash Organizer.


"Blue & Yellow Curves" by Carol. The pattern intrigued her and she started it about 10 years ago.

These 2 fab dolls are by Maria who attended a workshop by Jill Maas, She is looking very relaxed and is called "Sophie".

In The Pink is by Madeline McCrea and the blocks were from a challenge from last year.


Log Cabin, and is pieced and quilted by Madeline.


A pumpkin bag by Diane Harries, She found a Japanese tablecloth in an op shop for $3.00 and used her scraps also. 

Lisa's Quilt by Morag O'Malley.  It is a scrap quilt and is machine pieced and quilted by Morag and is for a friend.




Hillside Houses by Diane Harries, she told us there were 1260 little squares in this quilt!!!.

Another Miniature by Diane and is called Wonky Houses, she said that she has found her niche in miniatures.
"Lily Quilt" pattern by Alderwood studio and has been made by Belinda Morgan. She is undecided whether to make it bigger or quilt it as is...



These little beauties are a work in progress by Belinda. Foundation paper pieced, 12 blocks to do in total.

"Fancy Forest - India's Version.  By Belinda and the pattern is by Elizabeth Hartman.  It has been traditionally pieced and was made for her daughter India.
