September show n tell

     Anna Williams was out guest speaker for this month, she gave us a very emotional talk on her life and showed some of her quilts






 Rosie, Judy and Donna showed their creations from Liz Halligans workshop.



 Candy Lane made by Judith Archer, named by 5yr old Josiah. Will be donated to birthright also with a tiny teddy.



 Disappearing Hour Glass by Judith.made at mystery quilt weekend and will be donated to cancer society for a raffle.




 This months theme was something old, this baby dress was made for  Christine when she was a baby by a neighbour.






30's nine patch made by Heather,made for her daughter Kelly , Easy nine-patch done by starting with two contrasting squares, light for background and darker contrast, size easy to divide by three you end up with two 9patches, one with the dark squares in the corner and one with light squares in the corner.






 Embroidery done in the 1970's and 80;s by Jenny.





 Small articles project folders by Trish, she has been making these as gifts for her stitching friends

Making a silk purse out of a cows ear by Heather. Originally a BOM from Krazy Cow. Blocks never came on time and some were impossible to match the design. Ended up hating it and sat in UFO box. Decided to make a table runner out of the blocks and now actually like it.



Fish with Attitude by Heather. Likes the pattern but not the reds and yellows shown so I did my own thing.

 HRH chaired our June Queens birthday weekend meeting

 English Blue by Lesley.her cousin in England had a blue pattern on her sheets,they were pristine  and found out later she ironed her sheets on the bed, funny memory.




 A little bit French by Lesley. Made for a friend whom she is meeting up with in Amsterdam later this month

 Cover for lightbox by Carol, she bought a slim lightbox so made a cover for protection and also made a bag for the cord.




 A Cushion for Celia by Trish. When visiting Aimees last month she was tempted by a lovely cat fabric and purchased this piece to make a cushion for her eldest granddaughter.

 Tiger Tiger by Jenny. Cross stitch pictures of tigers made into a wall hanging for her sons 38th birthday.Was her sons nickname when he was little.

 Bonnie Hunter mystery 2017-2018 by Frances. This is the 2nd Bonnie Hunter mystery she has completed. She has had such fun joining in with friends over Nov.Dec making it together.
