November 2017 show n tell

Our theme for the November meeting was Christmas.

This is a Christmas bag made by Maureen L. She is travelling with her presents so thought it would be easier to have them in a special bag so they do not get damaged.

Frances H. called this wall hanging "Blue Christmas star" It was a play with a block she saw in Quiltmaker.  She really liked the star created by the log cabin blocks.

A small Christmas wall-hanging by Lyn S.  She attended a course at Waverly High School one year.

Another by Lyn. "Pukeko in a Ponga Tree". It was a Christmas gift many years ago.

This is a wonderful Heirloom Father Christmas made with a local tutor many years ago by Lesley McF.

And the back is just as stunning.

Lesley saw this idea of decorating a small table top tree on "pinterest"

This different Christmas wreath was made by Diana J.

A log cabin star by Heather McL. It was originally a corner design for a full sized quilt but she liked it better on its own as a wall hanging.

"Christmas Angel." and "Poinsetia Christmas" another by Heather and made for herself. Designed by Lois Wine.

A Red work wall hanging made in a class by a local tutor, Christina. This is another by Heather.

Heather has made these 2 table runners. This one is called Christmas Braid.

This one is to go on her lounge coffee table.

"Welcome to the North Pole" by Jenny R.  She started this in a class about 2003-2004.  It is applique with hand-stitching and machine stitching and is embellished with buttons and beads.

part of a block of the month, by Veronica

same block of the month, these ones are by Heather.

and these ones belong to Sue F. We are having a reveal day at our December meeting.

"Doodle Feather" by Heather. A class she attended by Jacqui Karl.  It gave her a chance to use some of the fancy stitches on her sewing machine.

Betty B. made these blocks a few years ago. It was a block of the month through Cloth Shop and has now actually completed it. Lovely colours.

From the Triangle class that was held a few month ago through Quilter's Lane.  sorry I do not know whose it is!!

Rosie G. is making Christmas presents as a cheaper alternative this year. These are reversible children's aprons.

and pot holders for the adults.

These are Christmas decorations made by Judith A.
