July Show n Tell

 
Here is the selection of a challenge our club held to celebrate our 30th anniversary.
 
 
This quilt is called "Dresden Fairies" and is by Judith A She made it out of left overs and scraps.
 
 
"Corner to Corner" is the name for this crochet blanket.  Lesley Mc. went on a cruise and joined the knitting and craft meetings on sea days and relearnt how to crochet again.
 
 
Diana J made this bright felt pumpkin table runner.  she wanted to try something different.
 
 
The front and back of a pillow, by Diana J. was made for her daughter to match the quilt she made for her.
 

 
Veronica D. has made a couple of Unicorn reading pillows for her Grand Daughters.
 
 
"Bird Dance" by Veronica D.  It is a Sue Spargo pattern and is made in wool and felt.  Beautiful.
 
 
This pretty quilt is by Frances H. and is titled "Willow Anne" named after the baby girl she made if for.
 
 
"French Country" by Madeline Mc. was made for her daughter's 50th birthday.
 
 
Another by Madeline.  This was a block of the month, made last year and finished last month for her Grandson's wedding.
 
This is a Barbara Brackman reproduction quilt and was a club block of the month.  Sue E. started it 3 years ago and has finally finished it.
 
A bag made by Judy P. to show case Sue Spargo stitches.
 
This months theme was Symposium Classes.
 
 Donna B. went to a Bernia class and made this note book cover.  she got to play with the latest Bernia sewing machine.
 
 
Donna also attended a Wendy Williams 2 day class in Christchurch and made this cushion.
 
 
Symposium 2007 Jenny R. started this wall hanging in a Bonnie McCaffrey class.
 
 
Jenny also has nearly finished this landscape wall hanging.
 

 
Frances H. has samples of English paper piecing that were started in a Donna Ward class.
 
Frances also attended a workshop on stamping with Lyric Kinnard.
 
 
Judy P. attended a class by Gloria Loughman  called house facades, in 2015.  It is titled "Waimarie Building in Whanganui.
