June Show n Tell

 

 "Toes in the Sand"  a block of the month via Fox's Cottage, pieced together by Judy Young. Made with Tula Pink fabrics, nice and bright.


A Hexagon Cushion by Judy Young.  Quilt as you go hexagons has been a passion of hers for a long time.  This floor cushion is destined for her Granddaughter in Adelaide.

Fields of Witchita, by Hester den Ouden.  It was inspired while flying over arable farms in Witchita Kansas.

First stitchery is by Maureen L. and  the other one belongs to Veronica.  This was a project put out by Sue Spargo to celebrate 20 years since her business began. It was an on line project with a new flower put up each day for 20 days.

This needle case is  by Veronica and was a club challenge made with hexagons.

"New York Beauty"  by Judy Young.  It is a work  in progress, a challenge for herself to learn foundation piecing.

A lap quilt by Penny Gallear.  It is all hand pieced and the photos are showing the front and the back


This is a Moses basket quilt by Bep and is for her Grand-Daughters baby son, Bep's 3rd Great Grandchild.

This very colourful quilt is named Overgrown and is by Yvonne Moore.  It is from Kathy Doughty's book, "Organic applique" and is mostly Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

This pretty soft toy with hand made clothes and a knitted cardigan was made by Sue F. and is going to be donated to a children's home.

This large quilt is by Belinda and is called Inner Beauty.  This is the biggest quilt she has made.

Another by Belinda and was a mystery quilt from Quilters Lane. Her 7yr old Daughter selected the fabric for this one.

This colourful quilt is by Annette Bourne and she has called it "The Community of Practice Blocks, Orphaned Blocks, Fillers and other Hangers On" What an interesting title.  It has been quilted by Lesley O Rourke of Quarry burn Quilting, Napier.

"Birdcage" by Penny Gallear.  The perfect cage for when you go on holiday, you don't have to feed the birds.



This is a Molly Lolly Jar by Penny Gallear.


"Peacock" stitched by Judy Potts.  A Sue Spargo project which was a few years in the making,,  Quilted by Jacqui Karl

And Judy Potts was the lucky winner of the club raffle, a lovely selection of fabrics which came in a nice tin bucket.
