October Show n Tell 2024

We had an enjoyable meeting this month, lot of chatter and stitching , we had some members away at Symposium and are looking forward to seeing what they achieved and what they bought from the merchants.

First up for this month is a quilt for the Te Awhina Project.  Made from donated blocks and put together by Mary and quilted by Helen P.

And here is the fun backing.

Another for the Te Awhina Project, put together by Mary from donated blocks from Judy P and quilted by Helen.

This beautiful quilt is called Broken Lone Star, pieced together by Mary Sammons and also quilted by Mary.

Veronica made this Table runner and was from a pattern she got off Facebook.

This lovely pink quilt is for Bep's Grandaughter, when she knew a baby girl was coming in November she was able to use a lot of her pink fabrics.

This quilt is called Modern Cats and was put together by Bep, for her Great Grand Kids room.  She saw this panel at Foxs Cottage and was attracted to it and bought it and added similar borders. Well done Bep.

Another wonderful Cat Quilt with an awesome blue border and is by Gail Jory.

Here is a photo of the lovely label, on the front which is a great idea.

A Trellis In The Garden is the name of this quilt by Judy Young and quilted by Helen P.  It is from a pattern in a magazine and she loves the way the trellis is formed from light and dark fabrics.

Another large quilt and lovely and bright.  It is called Starry Night by Anne Lovell and was put together during Covid and quilted by John Nielson.

Sue Forbes is the maker of this quilt, called 5 Yard Quilt.

Another by Sue and is The Little Ghost Who Is A Quilt, there is a book by the same name.

Sue has named this quilt L B D Quilt, i guess it means Long Black Dress?  Sue went to a class at Foxs Cottage.

This one is called Retro Pansy Quilt and Sue had it hanging at work and it was liked by a client so she made her this one.

This quilt was a collective effort by a group of 10 and was created with love and unity and the result is a work of art and was quilted by Hanna Snelling Berg.

A Travel Bag made by Hanna and was started in Sept /2019 in Tauranga and was near finish when she put it aside and finished it in May this year.

Maria Newell made this Ultimate Travel Bag at a 2 day workshop in Taumarunui.  It is in a lovely French theme fabric as she will be flying with it to Paris....

A wool pin cushion made by Susan Bradley and she said it was a fun project.  Well done Susan.

And this is a photo of this months raffle which was won by a old member who has just signed back up with the club.
