April 2026 Show & Tell

We had a lovely meeting on Easter Saturday with hot cross buns and Easter eggs. The meeting was well attended but the Show & Tell was sweet and short this month. I hope everyone is saving up for the next meeting.

Lesley A, one of our new members showed us this beautiful swan pillow. I apologise for the very poor quality of the photo. This is an Elizabeth Hartmann pattern. Leslie says she likes things with swans on them.

Yvonne completed her Bonnie Hunter Triple Treat quilt and quilted it beautifully. She made it after she saw other completed Triple Treats and wanted to use pre-cut squares out of her overflowing 3 1/2” shoebox scraps box. Yvonne planned the colour placement on the floor and had to reposition a few. Talk about keeping yourself supple!

Yvonne used a duvet cover for the backing and the lovely quilting really shows up.

Veronica made this quilt for her brother and sister in law’s 50th wedding anniversary. It was quilted by John Neilson.

This is Veronica’s progress on the Lots of Pots block of the month being run by Foxes Cottage. It is a Wendy Williams pattern. We will be seeing a few of these this year. It is a very popular project.

Last up is two more  locks for the community quilt. The first was made by Caroline and the second by Veronica. Well done ladies!
